Silly
Sometimes we feel silly or strange standing up or raising our hands when we do what we call worship. The thought occurred to me that if one who was a stranger to Jesus found out who He is or even who we believe Him to be, they might consider us silly for not doing these things.
I don’t raise my hands or stand, I feel no desire to do so; nor do I think that my musical worship is any less spiritual than my brothers that do rise, bow, and stand during such practices. However I do agree with your comment Cory, just wanted to add my two cents.

Well Said!!!! Do you think that it is more of a Presbyterian thing that we don’t raise our hands or every denomination?? I know that I cut back a lot from when I used to raise my hands and there are times that I just want to reach as high as possible during worship, but then for some odd reason feel strange for raising my hands.

If I were Presbyterian I might be able to answer that better. But I think it spans denominations.

I’ve often thought this would be a fantastic addition to the Presbyterian worship service:
“And fire came out from before the Lord and consumed the burnt offering and the pieces of fat on the altar, and when all the people saw it, they shouted and fell on their faces.” (Lev 9:24)
Seriously, Cory…good point.
