Two Of You Might Like This

You can publish your iCal calendars from your Mac for free, and then subscribe to them in Google Calendar. Read on, if you dare care.

How To Publish Them

  1. I’m going to assume you already have a Google Account.
  2. First you need an iCal Exchange account. It’s free. They’ll give you the address to which you can publish your calendars. You’ll need to use the “Public” address for this to work.
  3. Once you have the address, in iCal, select the calendar you would like to publish. From the “Calendar” menu, click on “Publish…
  4. From the “Publish On” drop-down menu, select “a Private Server.”
  5. Enter the appropriate information, using the address iCal Exchange provided (public!), and your username and password.
  6. Select any other relevant options, and hit “Publish.” You now have public, published calendars floating around the Internet. Remember - they’re public.

How To Subscribe in Google Calendar

  1. Once in your Google Calendar account, click the plus sign next to “Other Calendars.”
  2. In the box that comes up, select “Public Calendar Address.”
  3. Go back to your iCal Exchange Account. Under “View” you’ll see your calendar’s address.
  4. Copy your calendar’s “.ics” address to the clipboard.
  5. Paste this address into “Public Calendar Address” in Google Calendar, and hit “Add.”

Everything should work from there on out. Your events may not show up until you close the page and reopen, or sign in again. Now everytime you change something in iCal on your published calendar, it should change in Google Calendar as well. I think (ha!).
