T-Shirts of Terror!

While the DHS and the TSA are busy battling the War On Lipstick, you can simultaneously express your freedom and arouse suspicion by purchasing these snazy tees, both written in a fear-striking foreign language!

I Am Not A Terrorist
And I quote: “After reading about blogger Raed Jarrar’s experience at JFK (he was forced to take off a shirt with Arabic writing on it or miss his flight), I finally stopped being depressed about the war on terror and began being proactively pissed off. I made this shirt, which says “I am not a terrorist” in Arabic. I plan to wear it every time I go to the airport from now on. We have already given away too many freedoms in the name of war on terror. Freedom of speech cannot be one of them.

I offer this shirt as my response to the ridiculousness of the hysteria. All the shirts are set to $1.00 more than the Spreadshirt base price — all profits will be sent to the ACLU.”

God Bless America
This one is my favorite for sure. I like our nation. But I think our state of being has some major catching up to do before it’s deserving of our patriotism. You may not agree, but at least we can both wear this t-shirt proudly: “God Bless America” in Arabic.

The creator of the first shirt quotes Bruce Schneier:

“The point of terrorism is to cause terror, sometimes to further a political goal and sometimes out of sheer hatred. The people terrorists kill are not the targets; they are collateral damage. And blowing up planes, trains, markets or buses is not the goal; those are just tactics. The real targets of terrorism are the rest of us: the billions of us who are not killed but are terrorized because of the killing. The real point of terrorism is not the act itself, but our reaction to the act.”

We have better things to do than be afraid.

Better to be laughing in jail than terrified on an airplane?

In English, A T shirt that says “Terrorism Is Patriotic” then I will know that this country is on the right track!
