Calvin Crest Redesign

Today my sister IMed me to tell me that I haven’t blogged in a while.
I’ve been holding it in.

Last Thursday the new Calvin Crest website went up. Since then we’ve been trying to patch the holes, which in reality means trying to make it work in Internet Explorer, the worst browser in the world, used by most of the people in the world.

Much thanks goes to Jordan Gravette who poured himself into working on this site. By “much thanks” I mean, “we owe him big time.” The new site is both beautiful and intuitive, and it has been enjoyable to work with him and his facial hair.

There are still some holes that need to be filled, and some ideas that need to be thought all the way through, but it is a great relief to have most of this behind us.

I should mention that the Calvin Crest Blog has moved. You can find it here, and the new RSS feed here.

Go take a look!

It looks really cool. I literally laughed out loud when I read the line about explorer. We launched our site last week, and I was in the church office and had JUST gone through:

Me: “So how’s our site working on explorer?”
Justin: “It works most of the time. Sometimes the menu’s up in the corner.”

Thanks everyone. The praise really goes to Jordan. I worked alongside him, but the design is his brainchild.

Sith Lord?

I thought it looked awesome too. I went to it when Joy linked to it a few days ago. Good work to both of you, and I’m sorry that IE sucks. I wish they could be forced to follow international protocols.
