PiñaBlog Bits and Pieces of Piña

First Night

Last night was my first official night of “youth group.” It consisted of students, pizza, a game of “mafia”, and conversations about why Storm Troopers wear armor, when it obviously doesn’t help them. I mean, come on, the Ewoks knocked them down with rocks.

Anyway. The second half of the evening included a visit by a wonderful guy named Justin Fox who played us some great music and shared his heart.

Then they threw frisbees at the windows.

I am ever aware of the potential audience when I post or comment on blogs. There is much I might say if we were on one side of a ministry barrier. Blessings on this new youth ministry. I look forward to hearing more.

I think the Stormtroopers’ “armor” is more for show. Another question you could ask is what happened to the money that Han Solo loaded onto the Falcon after he rescued Leia from the Death Star. At the start of Empire, he still hadn’t payed his debts off, yet there is no mention of where it went. I’d really like to know.

Yeah seriously, why did the storm troopers wear armor if creatures so adorable as Ewoks would still be able to reign down destruction upon them?

You’ve got a good group on your hands Cory.
