PiñaBlog Bits and Pieces of Piña

With Little Umbrellas

At Trinity we do this thing called “Big Wednesday.” Basically it’s a bunch of different events happening at the same time, like Bible classes and choir practices. They serve a meal, so everyone gets to hang out together for a bit. It simplifies things. From 5-7 on Wednesday nights we have our youth Bible studies.

Last night we had a passing of the torch, so to speak, and in celebration of our arrival they made piña coladas (sans rum) and distributed them amongst the youth. Lyndsay and I had the honor of drinking ours out of hollowed-out pineapples.

We had the students write out questions for us that we read out loud and answered in order for them to get to know us a little bit. There were some great questions in there:

The students were very welcoming, and I have high hopes for the time we spend with them.

Big Wednesdays are fun. They are more fun because you and Lyndsay are there :-)
