A Mexico En La Mañana

About ten years ago I was on a mission trip in Mexico with my high school youth group. There was a boy who lived at the orphanage at which we were staying who closely resembled Mr. Bean. For the remainder of the trip we referred to him as “Señor Frijol.”

Anyway, tomorrow morning, at approximately “ridiculous o’clock” AM, we venture again to the land of the beans, and the home of the tortillas, the home of my ancestors; and now, apparently the home of a Super Walmart, a Costco, and a Home Depot.

See you in a week.

The Gipsy Kings are my choice in about San Diego. A little Merle Haggard or Buck Owens as you go through Bakersfield…

I was a big fan of Mr. Bean when I was younger. I even had a t-shirt.
