On the radio this afternoon an interviewee said we needed to “bring God back to this country.”
I had to laugh, because I wasn’t aware that a) He had ever left, or b) that we could even make Him go away.

Until a few hours ago we had what seemed like millions of tiny almond trees growing on our lawn, right below the intentionally-planted, grown up almond tree. Who would have known all you had to do to grow an almond orchard was to let almonds fall from a tree, and not pick them up?

Cosby sent me this link to an NPR story on Pen Spinning. The highlight is this video of “world-renowned pen spinner Kam Kuo” doing his thing.
I remember watching people do this in school and being totally jealous. Now that I’ve grown up a bit, I’m not totally jealous. Just a little bit jealous.
